Here's the question: what do you change? Whom do you call that you haven't spoken to in years? Whom do you realize has been toxic to your heart and drop with surprising ease? What trips do you cancel, and what trips do you book? What can't you be bothered with anymore? What's the new you like? Think about that, and then ask one more question. Why not just change it all right now?-- John Mayer

City Advent Calendar: An eskimo. I think this might be one of my favorites.
Whom do you realize has been toxic to your heart and drop with surprising ease?
This sentence really stuck out for me. I seriously cannot tell you the experiences I have been having lately and just realized, you cause me more distress than good and I don't need you in my life any more. My husband thinks its harsh of me, to just up and drop a friendship. But at what point is it ok to just put up with crap from a so called "friend" and not receive any support or compassion in return? Not for me. Anyways, enough blab, just really insightful.
Anyways, in regards to my weight loss i find removing those stressful insignificant negativities from my life has done nothing but lift my spirits and lose some weight. It is about me, and how to care for myself and my life. Thanks for the post. Keep up the hard work and cute legos.
Kourtney, Thank you so much for your comment. Those few lines are some of my favorite lines from a John Mayer blog post 4 year ago. I wish you the best of luck with your friendships. I know ending one can be hard, but sometimes it is best. Here's to finding your true support team. Keep up the weight loss!
