So you know what I "ate" for dinner last night? I had a Yazoo Pale Ale after my 6 mile HILLY NASTY run. See the course here and check "show elevation". Miles 2.5-5 were a real bear. And that's putting it in the nicest way possible.
Upon my return home around 9:30, I should have just gone to bed. Instead, I thought I should eat some dinner. You know what I ate? Stroopwafels. I ate the entire bag of mini stroopwafels from Trader Joes. (Scroll down to the bottom to see the bag I ate from. In my defense it wasn't like the bag was pink and white frosted animal cookie big. It was decently sized...)
These are my confessions yo.
P.S. I am eating Mexican food for dinner tonight! You know what that means? Chips and salsa, and maybe some queso and guac...
Here's the question: what do you change? Whom do you call that you haven't spoken to in years? Whom do you realize has been toxic to your heart and drop with surprising ease? What trips do you cancel, and what trips do you book? What can't you be bothered with anymore? What's the new you like? Think about that, and then ask one more question. Why not just change it all right now?-- John Mayer

Busy Bee
It appears that I have lost any sort of motivation to post about anything and everything in general. I have a whole slew of things I want to write about, (Europe recap, running, New Years goals, etc.) it is just finding the actual time (and motivation) to do it. Since I got back from vacation all of two weeks ago, I can count on two fingers the days/nights where I have not had any planned activities. So while having a social life is great and all, it is pretty draining (and fun!). For example, my Saturday looked like this:
Yoga 8:30- 9:45 AM
Run 9:50-10:20 AM
Hang out with my friend 10:30-11:30 AM
Lunch with same friend 11:45-12:30
Collapse in bed and generally just waste time on the internet 1-2
Get the motivation to either shower or nap…the shower won because I got a text from a friend to go tour the Yazoo Brewery around 3.
Frantically get ready for the rest of the afternoon/evening 2-2:30
Yazoo Beer Garden and brewery tour 2:45-5:15
Meet some out of town friends for a drink downtown 5:30-6:45
Dinner with another group of friends 7-8:30
Quick Kroger run to pick up brunch items 8:30-9:00
Head back downtown to meet up with an entirely different group of people 9:30-11:30
Umm, yeah so that was probably one of the busier days, but that was also a day I didn’t work. Throw work in there, working out, and extra-curriculars (umm am I in high school again?) and yeah my days and week nights are full too.
So while I love staying busy, I am looking forward to a more relaxed couple of weeks. However, I am not sure I see a slow down anytime soon…
