Who Eats Chocolate?

And then goes to the gym? No one in the their right mind would do this, right? Wrong! I did it. Eh. I am ok way it. Did I need the chocolate? Not really. And I am not really sure why I ate it...so yeah I am just going to put that choice behind me.

At the gym I did weight for 30 minutes, the treadclimber for 30 minutes, and for the last 30 minutes the elliptical and watched the office. Oh I have love the office.

Yesterday I worked out for about 45 minutes in the gym during lunch doing weights. I walked outside for an hour when I got home. And I also had a kickball game. Several key players (ie really good guys) were not there. So it was a rough game. I ended up having to pitch in the 3rd inning for the rest of the game. We lost big time, but we still managed to have a good time.

Tomorrow I am getting my hair cut and going out to dinner with my friends at my favorite bar. Yeah!

Broken Record

I feel like a broken record. I keep saying over and over how I know what it is I need to do, yet I can't seem to do it. I did however go to the grocery store tonight. I went to a crew after party last night and didn't get home until 1 AM, so you do the math about getting to the grocery store as planned. Tonight I bought awesome salad fixings for my favorite spinach salad, fruit for my oatmeal in the mornings, veggies for a risotto I make, and potatoes for stuffed potatoes!

So yesterday was a a good day at work. I hadn't had one in a LONG time. I saw some old friends and realized I REALLY want to work on a tour. This isn't something that just happened yesterday, but it has been brooding for the past 7 years. And a lot of my friends know this about me and tell me all the time I need to do it. But getting on tour is difficult and all about who you know. So yeah, I talked to a friend I hadn't seen in a year. He asked me what I was up to and I told him I am graduating soon. He asked what my plans were and I told him I wasn't sure, but I would love to go on the road. He seemed interested asking me what I wanted to do and and when I was graduating again. He said he would keep me in mind if anything came up on his tour (He's a production manager). It's doubtful that anything will come up, but it still made me think about it. I need to send him an e-mail just to stay fresh in his mind.

Oh and I didn't go to the gym today. I took a nap instead. The plan is to get up early and walk.

I love a good deal!

I am taking every effort here to not work on my paper. So what should I do instead? Go to the mall! I did go to the bookstore to buy the book "New Day Revolution" by Sam Davidson and Stephen Moseley who are the founders of the business I am writing about for my case study. They offered to give me a copy of the book a while back, but I decided to go ahead and purchase my own.

Than I head to the gap, since I have a coupon to save and additional 15% off sale items. Usually whenever I go I never find anything I want. However, today I hit the jackpot. I had seen this leather jacket a while back and didn't even bother to try it on, because there was no way I would have paid $200 for it. There is was in all it's glory on the sale rack. They only had an XL it looked like it was a small XL. The guy at the front of the store as soon as he saw me with it said "oooooh you sangged the jacket, have you tried it on yet?"

Me: "not yet"

Gap guy:" It looks a little big for you"

Me (in my head): "Wow this guy thinks I am smaller than an extra large. SWEET!"
Me (not in my head: "Well I hope it fits!"

I head back to the fitting room where a lady helps me and says "Ooooooh that's a great jacket!"

I try it on and it is AWESOME AND I paid $85 for it!!! Score! It was marked down to $100 and than I had my coupon! Yes! Also, after I had tried it on gap guy asked how it fit. I told him it fit perfectly. He made me try it on in the store just so he can see and he also agreed. We started talking about height. He asked me how tall I was without my boots on. I told him. And he thought it was great. He said he sees too many tall women who slouch and he thinks it is great that I love my height!

I can't wait to wear it out. I took some quick pictures. Please excuse the hair and clothes besides the jacket, I was so excited, I didn't put another outfit on to model it.

I leave you with this gem from my new book:
When a new day dawns, we are all given the same amount of time to use as we wish. We will have the chance to erase the slate clean of yesterday's mistake's and lay foundation for tomorrow's success. And so we can pander to the status quo, or work for the common good; we can focus, on the bottom line or on one in need; we can chase every dollar, or follow where hope will lead us. Because at the end the day, what will distinguish us will be what we gave , how we served, and who we loved.-- Sam Davidson and Tallu Schuyler
