Dear 5 Former Sorority* Girls who invaded my boot camp class this morning-
I almost didn't come to class this morning, but since I am paying for it, I got my butt out of bed. Immediately upon walking into the Y I prayed to sweet baby Jesus that you all were going to a yoga or maybe even a spin class and not my beloved boot camp class. You see it's April 17, not April 27th when the new session starts, so the trainers were unprepared for the dramatic increase in numbers this morning. And I was not in a good mood to hear you all laughing so early in the morning. THEN I found out from my friend (who was really glad to see me this morning when she thought she might have to face these former sorority girls on her own) the reason you all came: So you could eat Mexican tonight. What? So you can eat some f'ing chips and booze the night away? I am there to get in shape, not so I can eat lots and lots of chips and drink margaritas. Now don't get me wrong. I love chips and drinks as much as the next girl, but working out is part of my routine. It's not something I do, just so I can eat junk later.
But, I had the last laugh. Your laughter gradually dissipated when you realized this class was no joke. And you know what? Today's class wasn't even that hard. Sure I was sweating a lot, but I always do. I might not look it, but I have the heart rate of a well conditioned athlete and I am in fairly good shape. The kicker happened when I had to do a pushing/pulling exercise with one of you and you gave up as you panted "I think I am done" and left me standing there with the body bar and no one to push/pull for the remainder of the exercise.
There is a reason I go to the 5 AM class and not the 6 AM class. The 5 AM class is less crowded and the former sorority girl infiltration is kept to a minimum.
So maybe I will see you again on Monday? Maybe we can be BFFs? Or maybe not, because I am there to workout not hang out.
Sincerely,
BootCamper-4-Life
*I know they were former sorority girls because their t-shirts from past events with their Greek letters and the dates were a dead give away.
(Also, I have nothing against sorority girls. One of best friends from college was one. I only have a problem when the congregate.)
Here's the question: what do you change? Whom do you call that you haven't spoken to in years? Whom do you realize has been toxic to your heart and drop with surprising ease? What trips do you cancel, and what trips do you book? What can't you be bothered with anymore? What's the new you like? Think about that, and then ask one more question. Why not just change it all right now?-- John Mayer

Losing Control
Yep. I feel like I have totally lost all control in just a week's time. Yesterday my food intake consisted of leftover Easter candy for breakfast, 2 bagels with my salad at lunch. Some more Easter candy as an appetizer for my dinner at Pei Wei. Oh and a box of Somoas to finish off the night.
Help!
But today has at least been a little better. Oatmeal with a few walnuts and some brown sugar. And I just ate a banana for a snack. I brought fake out mac and cheese for lunch and I have another banana and 2 blood oranges at my ready.
I can do this and I will make it to the gym after work.

The Pacific Northwest: As Told With Pictures
Here is the quick run down of my trip with pictures! When available!
Arrived in SEA on Wednesday night. Had an enjoyable ride to Olympia catching up with my favorite aunt. I have favorites. I am not going to lie and my Aunt Carolyn is it.
Thursday! I finally got to meet Anna!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was probably the most exciting thing about my trip. She is like the big sister I never had and always wanted. We are a lot a like it is scary! We met for lunch and it was wonderful.
Friday I got up early to hang with some of my favorite girls in Seattle/Renton/Kent.
Alethea, me, and Jewel. These lovely ladies are such great people and always bring a smile to my face.
After lunch with Jewel and quick stop by the Nordstrom Rack, Jewel and I headed up to Northgate for dinner with another dear friend Mandy. After we hit the U District for Drinks at the College Inn.
Good times were had by all!
Jewel and Mandy
No trip to Seattle is complete without a stop at Dick's.
I had to leave Jewel super early on Saturday morning to head down to Portland (Corbett to be exact). Caught my cousin's son Zack in a community theater performance of Annie. While Zack was busy performing, I got to to sit with this lovely girl Aurora.
Seriously I can't wait to have kids and I hope they are as smart and cute as her. Or my friends better start having kids so I can be the awesome Aunt Sarah.
After the play we all headed to McMenamins Power Station pub for lunch/Dinner where I imbibed in Thomas Kemper root beer from a Keg! Yum!
More of Aurora because she is so cute.
My other cousins Masie and Zach.
Back to Olympia on Saturday night.
Masie and I on Easter right before my glorious 3 mile run in the rain.
Out to Yelm for Easter dinner with my Grandma. I get my height from my mom's side of the family for sure.
It looked like this pretty much everyday. But you know what? I was ok with it and I even miss it.
Washington I miss you so!
