Well I made it to the end of Week 2. Friday was a pretty high intensity cardio day with lots of sprints and rills. Really humid, but not too bad. I finished class and then went to the gym and walked on the stair climber for about 35 minutes and the treadmill for 30. I also stretched and did some ab work for a good bit too.
I had yesterday off, so I took my time at the gym. I cam home and ate breakfast and took a nap. I woke up, showered, ate some lunch, and went shopping. I also went and got a mani/pedi. Came home took another nap. I met friends out for dinner where I made a healthy choice and then we went to a showcase. After the showcase we went to a couple of bars and met up with friends. I drank one shot total, had a blast, and came home WAY too late. Pictures and more to follow :)
Here's the question: what do you change? Whom do you call that you haven't spoken to in years? Whom do you realize has been toxic to your heart and drop with surprising ease? What trips do you cancel, and what trips do you book? What can't you be bothered with anymore? What's the new you like? Think about that, and then ask one more question. Jennifer Aniston Better Watch Out!
Jennifer Aniston better watch out, because she is about to have her heart broken in about a month. July 9th to be exact. Why you might ask? On July 9th, my best friend and I will be meeting John Mayer backstage at his show in NY!!!!!! Boo yeah! We won meet and greets. I wasn't planning on going to this show because it was mid week, but now, there is no way I can pass it up!

Boot Core Day 5
Today was the first day I struggled (ie hit the snooze) to get out of bed this morning. In my haste to make it to the gym in time I put on my new shoes instead of the older ones I have been wearing because the class is all outside. Oh well. This morning was quite cool, but I was sweating in no time. I bought a new tank top at target last night because I was just too hot in t-shirts. I really liked it, so I might have to go back and pick up another one in a different color. Today’s workout consisted of 2 circuits. We did each one for 25 minutes. They included such fun things as push-ups, dips, squats with the medicine ball, row etc. I would say it was one of the easier days I have had. Maybe I just didn’t push myself as hard? Or maybe it was the cooler weather? After I finished up with 35 minutes on the stair climber and 15 minutes on the treadmill, finishing with 10-15 minutes of stretching.

So last night I went to Logan’s with my old roomie who is in town for the week. Usually this place is an overeating trap. I didn’t feel like a salad because I had one for lunch. So I got the BBQ chicken breast w/ a baked potato, and broccoli. I immediately cut both the chicken and potato in half to save to take home. I also had 1 roll and ZERO peanuts because I had some earlier in the day. It was exactly the right amount of food and now I have a second meal.

How Did You Meet?
So last night I had a pity party of one. Why? I am not really sure there was any specific reason. But I am sure it had something to do with one of my friends telling me he saw my ex at Target shortly after we had broken up with another girl. Why he told me this on Friday night 8 months later, I have no clue. Why it should even bother me or why I should even care, I am not really sure. Or maybe I just don't want to admit that I secretly wish he would come crawling back? So yeah I started looking at dating profiles on line. And there wasn't anyone who was so amazing I just had to sign up. But a lot of the profiles say similar things and they like to hang it in similar spots as I do. A lot of the guys say the like *my* bar. Why do I never see them there? They like the lake. I never see guys there. They claim to work out. Where are they? Seriously am I just going at weird times and missing them? Or do they really not go to these places as frequently as they claim? My only conclusion is that I am slightly intimidating with my height, confidence, black nail polish, and smarts? Oh and so two of my good friends are guys, but they are short and there is no romantic anything there at all. I think the pity party also had to do with the scale moving up instead of down. Even though it moved up, I feel like I am regaining tone in my legs and arms. So why I was wallowing I ate MORE sodium in the form of salt and pepper kettle chips. Lots of them. But today is a new day. I went to the gym for 2 hours this morning. One of the trainers from boot core waived and smiled at me as I was walking out and said he would see me tomorrow morning. That little moment got my morning off to a great start.

Boot Core Day 4
We did a lot of running today. Or at least it felt that way. Running with a body bar. Running with a body bar up and down stairs. Lunges, push ups, ab work oh my! Oh and it was even hotter than Friday! I was pretty beat, so I cooled off, by walking on the treadmill for 45 minutes.
Oh and my weigh in today? 204 lbs. If you are keeping score at home that means I would have gained 6 lbs since last week. I know my eating was far from acceptable last week, but I also did exercise a lot. So I think it has to do something with my sodium intake over the past 2-3 days. I mean I did eat a HUGE bag of salt and pepper kettle chips this week, of which I polished off last night. I also ate more chips at dinner last night, pizza, and margaritas. So yeah, I think that has something to do with it. Oh and I drank on both Friday and Saturday night.
Saturday night was the American Gladiator Party. It was a blast! Here is a pic from the party. I am waiting to get some more, because one of the guys in attendance was a professional photographer and he got some pretty good shots.
Last week I was able to get my gym routine in check. This week I want to get my eating in check.
