I am off tomorrow bright and early to meet my momma in Minneapolis for a shopping extravaganza at the Mall of America. While there, I will also get to see my beloved Esther from the Netherlands (I haven't seen her since last March!!!!) and my beloved Amanda who I just saw in February, but it will be fabulous to see her none the less. I am taking my laptop, but I am not sure if I will have much free time.
Oh, and a random observation from the Swell Season show on Monday night in Louisville. The audience at the show looked SO cool. Like, I wanted to be friends with them all. They looked Nashville (east side) cool, but it looked effortless for them all. And they looked cool without looking stuck up. I am sure that made sense to no one but me...
Here's the question: what do you change? Whom do you call that you haven't spoken to in years? Whom do you realize has been toxic to your heart and drop with surprising ease? What trips do you cancel, and what trips do you book? What can't you be bothered with anymore? What's the new you like? Think about that, and then ask one more question. Why not just change it all right now?-- John Mayer

Can someone please put a muzzle on me? I can not seem to stop eating. Oh and my motivation to go to the gym is pretty non-existent. Oh and I am leaving to go out to dinner with a friend in about 20 minutes. Yeah more yummy fattening food. But I do have my gym bag with me and if all goes as planned I will be watching the Office while I am working out. Even if I am only walking 2 mph, it is certainly better than nothing.
Oh and a few other things I would like to change:
my job
my relationship status (umm, I am hard up. I would just like to go on a nice date. Is that too much to ask? I just e-mailed a guy I met last Friday who went to Gonzaga and now lives in TN and he gave me his card. I would usually NEVER do that, but I would just like to go on a date.)

Graduation Day
May 9, 2008
I slept in and went to a new Y. A Y that is closer, but not as nice as the one I have been going to for over a year now. It's still nice, but definitely has more of a gym feel. After I went to the grocery store and finished up my shopping for Steeplechase. I brought all the stuff home and showered. I went and got a mani/pedi from my favorite manicurist. The pedicure was seriously the best thing ever and super relaxing. I came home and started making the spicy almonds and oatmeal cookie bars. Than my mom arrived and she helped me finish the oatmeal bars. She gave me her speech she had written for nurses week. It was amazing. She made me so proud and it brought tears to my eyes. She helped me steam my gown and also burned a hole in it under the arm. We had a good laugh and realized it wasn't even noticeable. She helped me get my things ready and we heady to her hotel, but not before stopping for lunch at Panera (one of our favorite places to lunch).
Graduation was a blur. Pictures before the ceremony with my mom and dad. Waiting in line for an hour. I was hooded walked across the stage and got my diploma. The ceremony was about an hour. We went to a small reception after and then headed to dinner with my friends.
Basically I have such amazing parents. I really enjoyed the time with my mom before graduation, just laughing and having a good time.
May 9, is a special day for me. In 1999 it was mother's day and the DMB concert in Charleston. Now it has another special memory attached to it.
Thanks mom and dad for all that you have done for me!

I'm Alive
An update: The abbreviated version.
I am alive.
Graduation was awesome.
Dinner/drink party at my bar after graduation was awesome. The ex didn't come, but at least he had the decency to let me know he wasn't coming. It was probably for the better, he would have felt akward.
Steeplechase was awesome.
The Swell Season show In Louisville was awesome.
Today was a good day work wise and social wise.
Kickball boy is no longer a crush. I saw him at Steeplechase and he was a complete douche as well was the clingy b***h with him. I think she was slightly intimidated by me.
Eating (er drinking) has not been the best. I did go to the gym Sunday and today though.
Lots-o-pictures from the weekend can be found here.
