Last night I was giddy. I was more excited for Bon Iver at the Ryman then I have been for my birthday or Christmas of years past.
The show last night was perfect. I have been anticipating this show for a while. Long before it was announced, I have wanted to see him and it just hasn't worked out. I was nervous about how his sound would translate live. When you have such high hopes for something, disappointment can come fast.
But with his 9 piece band. He. Killed It.
I've said this before, and I will say it again. I am incredibly lucky that The Ryman is my hometown venue. My seats were perfect. The show was perfect. Everything was perfect.
I knew the encore would be special. I apologize for the camera angle and the back light.

That is one of the coolest effing things I have ever seen. I am so jealous. If you would have been at the Mumford/Punch Brothers show at Telluride, I would have to not be your friend anymore. Tell me you've seen the Amazing Grace video.

Krissie, now you know why I have a problem saying no to concerts when they come to town. I was not at that show, but I have seen the Amazing Grace Video!
