To be honest, I couldn't even remember all of the goals I had made. If you have been reading my sporadic posts over the past few months, they have pretty much all been about running. Which as luck would have it, running is involved with one of my goals. The original post can be found here.
Since the year is almost a quarter over (umm where has 2010 gone?), I thought I would take a look-see and see how I am doing.
1. Run the Country Music Half Marathon on April 24. I registered last week. I will start training on Monday. I need to finalize my training schedule tomorrow.
Honestly, this is the one I thought might give me the most trouble. But the amazing Annie suggest I train with the wonderful/supportive/inspirational East Nasty Running group. I haven't looked back since. And I know I am prepared for the Country Music Half Marathon.
2. Attempt to run a 5k race a month. I know the month of November will probably be difficult, but I can aim for at least one a month for all of the other months.
January: Resolution Run 28:22
February: Cupid's Chase 27:18
March: FAIL (and I type that with a smile on my face...I can't win 'em all)
April: I'm changing it up and I am already registered for a 10k!
3. Create a budget and actually stick with it. And track all expenses. This will be a tad tricky, but I have already created the budget and started tracking.
Well I don't have budget, but I have been tracking expenses.
4. Be a nicer person.
I sort of forgot about this one, so there is much room for improvement.
5. Love myself more. I can be hard on myself. There is no need for it.
And I sort of forgot about this one too...
6. Continue with my yoga practice. I want to be able to do the crow by the end of the year.
My schedule has been a little crazy since the start of the year, but I have been trying to make it to at least one yoga class a week. I am currently researching flow yoga dvd's. I will say that my attempted crow last Tuesday was one of my best attempts yet!
7. Read more. I am in a book club now, so hopefully this will help.
Books read this year: The God of Small Things, Half the Sky, and A Reliable Wife. It could be better, it could be worse. But I consider this a success.
Overall 2010 is off to a great start!
