The Funk

I know why I have been in a funk the past week. It's the Chicago boy. I have a feeling things are running it's course and neither one of us has mentioned it to the other. It's silly because we were never officially anything, but 3 months of almost daily e-mailing is a lot. Part of me me wonders if I am like Marie and I somehow jinxed things by telling others about him. And part of me knows that is silly. I cried a little today. Not so much about him, but about the fact that I seem to suck at relationships with the opposite sex.

If it wasn't for my Lenten promise I would probably be drowning my sorrows in my favorite Easter candy. Isn't that funny how I can keep a commitment to God about food, but I have hard time committing to myself? That's all for now.

Aww sweetie! Hang in there! You don't suck at relationships! The right one just hasn't found you yet.

Great job staying away from the candy! You are awesome!

I have to agree wtih Krissie. A little over a year ago, I got dumped by my then boyfriend of 3 years - we had been talking weddings and babies - and then wham he finds someone else. I thought I was the problem.

Fast forward a year and I am about to marry the man of my dreams. Trust me when the right one comes along, it will work out.

Awesome job on avoiding the candy!

You are amazing! Spring is a funky time, I think its the changing of seasons; it makes people nutty. Keep up the great work with your lenten commitment.

If you are still feeling bummed out, go kidnap a penguin at knifepoint and post ransom photos! Or think about Paris! :)

((HUGS)) There are more frogs than princes out there. Life goes on. Instead of drowning sorrows in Easter candy, go out and get a new purse or some shoes or a cute outfit. Heck, even some kitchen towels! LOL

It'll be better with time. It always is. I HATED dating.

I always give up chocolate durning lent! Gotta love the 40 days of giving something up. Luckily, on the program I coach, we can have chocolate and not feel guilty about it! lol. Its all about the little things in life, isnt it? Good luck!

So funny you said you could give up food for God but not for yourself. I'm not even a practicing Christian and I give something up for Lent each year. This year it was pizza (bad choice!) and I'm so fearful I'll eat it before Easter and God will hate me or something. It wasn't til this week I realized if I could give up my fav food for 40 days, then I totally can change a lot of stuff. I'm kinda throwing it all under Lent--so I don't know if its still really for me. Don't want a mad God, you know.....

don't think for a second that it YOU. he probably just isn't THE ONE. don't drown your sorrows, girl. you should revel in the fact that you are a mature adult who deserves to have EVERYTHING you want in a relationshipo.
