AND.
I caved.
I succumb to the Zumba fad.
I was one of those people who would walk by a Zumba class and sort of chuckle at all the people dancing. Tonight I was one of those people dancing, horribly if I do say so myself. At first I was a little self conscious because my workout buddy for the evening (Another Sarah K) wanted to be at the front of the class. This was good and bad. Good because I could see the teacher. Bad because everyone could see me. I struggled at the beginning and also struggled at the end (let's just say I never learned to do the Macarena in the Mid-Nineties). But once Sarah pointed out that the short Indian man standing right next to me was doing it, I became a whole lot more relaxed and actually started to have a little fun.

I have done a Zumba program a couple of time at the Library for my teens, but have never done a class at the gym. A new fitness studio has opened close to my house that offers single classes for $5. I am thinking of trying it out.
Did you give it a try??? Let me know how it goes!
