Excuses

Excuses. We all make them. A lot of mine are centered around food or the gym. Excuses for why I should eat something (it was a rough day, I had a good work out...). Excuses for why I shoudn't eat something (I already had one, I don't need to eat late...). Excuse for why I need to exercise (I ate too much, I didn't go yesterday...). Excuse for why I don't need to exercise (I am too tired, there isn't enough time...). Some excuses (or reasons) seem valid, so not so much. Whatever is going on, I just need to get my butt in gear and eat right and go to the gym. No questions about it. However it isn't always that easy. Tonight I made dinner with my little sistah. I didn't take her home until almost 8. I also wanted to go to the gym tonight. My gym closes at 10, so that would be more than enough time to go to the gym, but also pushing it. I also wanted to register for boot camp class before I left for LA so there would be no way I could skip out come Monday February 5th. I also need to pack for my trip and as I was sitting on the couch after dinner it was just so comfy. In the end I made it to the gym and I am so glad I did! My schedule will be crazy for the next couple of days. With traveling and the conference I really am going to have to work hard at eating well and some exercise. Oh and I am going Disneyland on Saturday!!!! So in the end I am really glad I didn't let excuses get the best of me even though I still need to pack.

What are some of your excuses and what do you do to talk yourself out of them?

I now live three blocks from my gym.

How often do I really go? Rarely.

My couch talks me out of it.

OMG I used to live on excuses. Everyday, all day. I'd always have a little coversation as to why/why I shouldnt eat something and I always convinced myself to eat it. Terrible habit. I still do it now but mostly tell myself NO.. and most excuses I have deal with food too! UGH!

one of my best excuses is that i'm just too tired to make anything of substance...the see's candy box calls my name. and then the scale scoffs at me in the morning. ugh!
