Weeeee!

Ok, So I have been home less than a week and a half and I am already leaving again?!? I am heading to Wisconsin of all places to see the Dave Matthews Bands with some good friends. Next week watch out for the Europe details!

But for now I leave you with a meal I enjoyed more than a few times on the lawn in front of the Eiffel Tower. Yum!

Note to self: upon return I need to organize my travel toiletries...it took incredibly way too much time to pack.

Post Vacation Depression

So I have a really bad case of post vacation depression. Like really bad. This means a few things. I haven’t really blogged about the trip yet. I have told all my close friends and family how great it was though. And it also means I had a wonderful time. And by wonderful I mean amazing. And by amazing I mean it was just what I needed and I didn’t even know it.

It is no lie when I say this is one of the best trips I have taken in a LONG time. How lucky am I that I have a job that would allow me to be gone for a week and a half plus with just about two months notice? And friends to visit? I planned things to do like three Dave Matthews Band shows and the Kings of Leon show, the Monet Bike Tour in Giverny, the Anne Frank House and the Hemmingway Bar, but that was it. While that might sound like a lot, if you have ever been to Europe before I am sure you know that it can be a blur from one site to the next. But this time I had a pretty open schedule. I didn’t have to rush from one museum to the next. I could do pretty much whatever I wanted and change my mind on a whim if I so desired.

Once I got back I realized I did a whole heck of a lot of walking. I long for a walkable city or one with great public transportation. I also didn’t worry about what I ate. I didn’t really snack either (The 3 crepes and 3 gelatos weren’t really snacks…) I didn’t worry about guys. I didn’t worry too much about what I look like compared to others.

And now I am back in Nashville where I spend my days at a desk snacking because of boredom. Driving to work. And worrying that I get my morning workout in because I won’t get any exercise in otherwise. I am sure this will all pass.

I miss Europe.

I leave you with this picture of Esther and I on the Ponte Vcchio in Florence. There is just something magical about this bridge.

I'm Back!

I am back! And I'm tired. But it was SO worth it. All I can say is I know some amazing people and have some amazing friends. I had a blast! I haven't uploaded pictures yet because I just got back at 5:30 PM yesterday and had to work today. Oh and I have class tonight.

I didn't worry about my weight at all. That is a good vacation.

Oh and I consumed two jars of Nutella with in 2.5 days of arriving in Paris. Now that folks is the start of a great vacation.

Details to follow...

Sometimes Others Can Just Say it Better

I LOVED *Bitch Cakes* post today about choices.

I have made some pretty poor choices the last few days. Mainly eating Mexican for dinner Wednesday night and for lunch today. Eating in the cafeteria for lunch yesterday and eating a Strawberry Shortcake from Cheesecake Factory for dinner last night. I didn't go to the gym this morning either or on Tuesday. I am not crazy about the class I was taking and I will probably switch up my schedule when I get back from Europe.

It's been an unhealthy few days. But I ate a healthy dinner and I won't be snacking after class tonight. I will be going to the gym tomorrow morning. I will be making my dinner at home.

I am working on some changes. Slowly, but surely...
