That's right. I am finished with grad school. I don't know what my final grade on my case study, but my professor seemed to like what he skimmed.
So to celebrate the end of school, I drank at kickball last night. I drank a lot. I usually don't drink too much because I don't want to use the porta potties and I don't want to drink empty calories. Last night was the exception. I had 2 margaritas before the game (bad choice), beer during the game, and beer after the game while 4 of us watched another game. Than we went downtown and drank some more. I am not sure if I I have mentioned this, but I have a slight crush on one of the guys on my team. It just so happened, he was also one of the 4 to stick around and go out after the game. Yeah during the game he touched my lower back as we were running off the field. At the bar I danced with him. Umm, I don't dance. But I was having such a good time, I really didn't care how I looked. He was doing that thing where you throw out the fishing pole and reel someone (me!) in. So, I woke up with a horrible hangover this morning. I think I actually groaned from the head throbbing pain this morning when I woke up.
My kickball team is filming a video on Saturday and we are going to a minor league baseball game. Hopefully, I will be able to talk to the crush a little bit!
Here is a team picture. I am not going to tell you which one he is ;)
Here's the question: what do you change? Whom do you call that you haven't spoken to in years? Whom do you realize has been toxic to your heart and drop with surprising ease? What trips do you cancel, and what trips do you book? What can't you be bothered with anymore? What's the new you like? Think about that, and then ask one more question. Why not just change it all right now?-- John Mayer

An Unexpected Compliment
Unexpected compliments are the best. I am still feeling a bit down about myself, but an e-mail from a high school friend really brought a smile to my face:
subject: random? but deserved
You have grown into a beautiful women.
Thats all
Hope all is well
Wow! I was not expecting that one at all. Before you get all excited and think this might turn into something, the guy is happily married w/kids and is about 5'5 on a good day.
P.S. I turned my paper in this morning. I hope I get a passing grade...

My eating has sucked the past few days and I didn't go to the gym today. I did go yesterday (2 hours baby!). AND I am pretty close to being done with my paper. It will be turned in tomorrow after I proof it.
I know I have mentioned how awesome my mom is. She is a great lady and would give me (or anyone for that matter) the shirt off her back if they needed it. She is so caring and loving and get excited about everything I get excited about (well most things). I came home to a kick ass purse compliments of her. Now, I am not the biggest fan of Jessica Simpson, because well she dated my future husband John Mayer. But I do have to say I am sort of envious of her curves. I never thought I would own or even want one of her purses, but now I am the owner of this beauty below. I can't wait to use it.
I may not be eating well, but I have a damn good looking purse!

Ahh the weekend...
My eating hasn't been the best over the past few days. Pretty typical considering I don't really remember the last time I posted. I worked an event yesterday and was at work from around noon-11 PM. Panera for lunch (greek salad, broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl) and catering for dinner (Chicken, mashed potatoes, oily vegetables, salad, mozzarella appetizer, and berry cheesecake). Oh and I had 3 single serve packages of fruit and nut trail mix... Also no gym yesterday. I chose to sleep in. I did have to do some physical work when we were converting some spaces last night.
Today I went to the gym around 8:30. I am trying really, really, really hard not to focus so much on time at the gym, but it is hard. I did weights/stretching for 20 minutes, the treadclimber for 72 minutes, and the treadmill for 20 minutes. Swung by McDonald's for a fruit and walnut salad and a diet coke.
I HAVE to get work done on my paper this afternoon. I will be at the library, because I just can't concentrate at my house... I will be sleeping much better once I get this thing done with.
ok, I know some of you out there watch the office. I heart the office. I usually go to the gym thursday nights and watch it while doing cardio. On Friday night, I just vegged (instead of writing the paper) and caught up on 3 episodes I had missed. On of the episode I watched was the one where Michael goes into the woods because he wasn't invited on the branch manager camping retreat. He finally comes back to the office and he is wearing a Battlestar Galactica (BSG) sweatshirt and I immediately start laughing.
Here is a text conversation I had with a friend who loves BSG, but does not like the US version of the Office:
Me: I'm watching the Office (US) and Michael just had on a BSG sweatshirt
friend: "It's a movement mama!"
Me: "I'm starting to feel like all the cool kids like BSG" note: seriously, I have read about it in 2 different magazines how great this season is going to be.
friend: "It takes some people longer than others"
Me: "That's what she said"
friend: "Oh man"
And with that, have a great Sunday :)
