Ok, So I went to an intermediate/advanced power flow yoga class today. And let me just say I was in complete awe of everyone in that class. I am still very much a beginner and new there would be things I would be unable to do like handstands, headstands, and loads of other things. I did meet a very nice husband and wife. The husband was super supportive and not in a creep way. He told me he was 67 years old and he knew I would be able to this stuff. So while I still can't do it, I will probably go back next Sunday.
Last night I went Toya's birthday party. I was a little apprehensive about going at first since I only new the birthday girl. But once I got there things went great. I also met Tia and some really other great folks. Since I know how much Toya likes the Office and it was a party where we were all encouraged to bring desserts, I made her the black version of the Princess Unicorn doll. Here is the other version I made last week. Hopefully, someone will post pictures of the cake from the party. I have some on my camera before I took the cake over, if I can't find any. The party was great, the people were great, and the desserts were AMAZING! I didn't get too crazy. I had a chocolate chip cookie, lemon bar, chocolate covered double stuff oreo, and a really small brownie, and some chips and guac. Now that may sound like a lot of food, but if you saw just how much goodness was there, you would be impressed with my willpower.
Another thing I think I am going to do is join the East Nasty running group. the great Annie Parsons suggested I go and based on my somewhat structured schedule, Wednesday and Sunday running days fit into my schedule PERFECTLY. Now I just have to get to the first run on Wednesday and actually run and not throw up because it's something new....well I won't actually throw up, but I will be really nervous.
Oh, and a little 5k update. I ran in the Resolution Run on January 1. Not my best time, 28:22, but I ran the entire time. Did I mention it was cold? It was really cold. Oh and I had a slight wardrobe malfunction. I wore a pair of pants I will never wear running again. They kept falling down and they didn't have a draw string. That'll teach me to wear new clothing on race day!
Oh and Liz from the most recent season of Biggest Loser ran the race too. I didn't get a picture but it was still really cool to see her.
Comfort zone I am stepping out. Let's just hope my stomach behaves too ;)
Here's the question: what do you change? Whom do you call that you haven't spoken to in years? Whom do you realize has been toxic to your heart and drop with surprising ease? What trips do you cancel, and what trips do you book? What can't you be bothered with anymore? What's the new you like? Think about that, and then ask one more question. Why not just change it all right now?-- John Mayer

2010 Goals
So I have never been one to make resolutions, but I think this year I am going to write down a few of my goals.
1. Run the Country Music Half Marathon on April 24. I registered last week. I will start training on Monday. I need to finalize my training schedule tomorrow.
2. Attempt to run a 5k race a month. I know the month of November will probably be difficult, but I can aim for at least one a month for all of the other months.
3. Create a budget and actually stick with it. And track all expenses. This will be a tad tricky, but I have already created the budget and started tracking.
4. Be a nicer person.
5. Love myself more. I can be hard on myself. There is no need for it.
6. Continue with my yoga practice. I want to be able to do the crow by the end of the year.
7. Read more. I am in a book club now, so hopefully this will help.
There you have it. My goals. Nothing too crazy. Bring it 2010!

These Are My Confessions
1. I joined Weight Watchers 7 weeks ago.
2. I hadn't really been following the plan (umm, hello NYC, Thanksgiving, and loads of other excuses).
3. I was sick last week. So sick that I called in two days.
4. I lost 11 pounds last week. I tracked and ate as many points as I could (there was one day I wasn't able to eat all my points), but food just didn't taste good. Diet Coke didn't even taste good. And I drank lots and lots of liquids. And I ate out at multiple restaurants. And I skipped 4 days at the gym. Folks, that is pretty unheard of. I usually go to the gym 6 days a week.
5. I really want the poundage to stay off, but I know that a loss like that is unhealthy and not characteristic.
6. I still really want the weight to stay off.
7. I'm home for Christmas and scared shitless about all the food around that I normally don't eat back in Nashville. So far so good. I did have one piece of my mom's toffee. This in not normal at all. Usually I inhale the entire container no matter the size before I bring my suitcase in.
8. I'm back in the 190's.
9. I still really want the weight to stay off.
10. I am going to the gym tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday while I am home or at least getting some form of exercise.
Wishing you the best holiday with all of your loved ones!

I Needed Some Motivation...
And I realized all of about 5 minutes ago that in less than 4 weeks I will be on a plane to Montana to go skiing with 12+ other people. Only 2 of whom I know. There will be single guys and there will be triathletes. There will be a hot tub. And then there will be me. This led to trying on swimsuits (and maybe a bikini or two) I bought at the end of the summer. I am pleased to say I felt comfortable in all of them.
Must rock the next few weeks hardcore, but I am going to enjoy Christmas like Christmas should be enjoyed :)
Wishing you a Merry Christmas!
